Katie's essay took her to Florida State.
Katie started vision therapy with us in 2013, a first-grader whose words moved on the page. She completed six phases of therapy. In 2023, she wrote about that journey in the essay that got her accepted to Florida State University.
"I'll never forget the time I came out of my room yelling for my mom after reading a Dr. Seuss book. I was jumping up and down, because I could finally understand what the words were saying, without any words moving… I am now in classes like AP English Language and Composition, as well as AP English Literature, and excelling in them."

Thank you for helping me in vision therapy. Before vision therapy, I had a hard time concentrating because I couldn’t see the words and numbers in the books. When I started vision therapy I was having trouble reading. I was seeing double and doing my homework was very hard… after the third phase I was not seeing double any more.
